How to Apply a Mask a Folder Mask

To shape a folder thumbnail using a mask:

  1. Enable Edit Mode and open the folder.
    1. Tap the Edit icon (pencil) in the top menu bar.
    2. Scroll down to the Thumbnail Icon Style section.
  1. Tap on Mask.
    1. Select one of the following for a shape:
Option Description
Reset Removes any existing mask, returning the thumbnail to its default square boundaries.
Shape [cite_start]Choose a built-in geometric shape to define the border:
Rectangle
Round Rectangle: Use the gear icon to adjust the corner radius (0-306).
Oval: Creates a circular mask.
Arc: Creates a partial circle. The Start angle (rotation) and Sweep angle (how much of the circle is filled) can be adjusted.
Image Select a custom image from the launcher's image resources (or add images to the resource (see here to use as a mask. The thumbnail content will only be visible where the mask image is opaque.
