Sequence is a powerful automation feature that allows users to string together multiple actions and execute them simultaneously or in a specific chain with a single trigger. Rather than being restricted to mapping a single action, such as launching an app or opening a drawer to a gesture or a button tap, sequences act as a macro builder. Through the launcher's settings, bundle diverse operations like:

  • Opening multiple layout windows at once.
  • Triggering device setting adjustments (like lowering brightness or changing volume levels).
  • Launching a specific application.

… all under one unified command. It serves as a lightweight, built-in alternative to complex external automation tools, bridging the gap between static interface design and dynamic user interaction.

Integrating sequences into a setup design unlocks a new layer of efficiency and minimalism. For example, a dedicated “Bedtime” graphic button or swipe gesture can be designed to instantly lock the screen, set the media volume to zero, and open a blue-light-filtered e-reading app. Alternatively, power users often integrate sequences to fix or bypass complex layout behaviors, such as tying custom window management actions together or seamlessly launching a specific app search drawer layout. The primary benefits received are a cleaner, less cluttered interface and reduced friction in daily workflow. Sequence Management

Sequences are managed through the launcher behavior options or when assigning a new action to an object.

  • Add Sequence: - Create a new macro string by selecting the plus (+) icon.
  • Add Action: - Select the specific launcher command or task to include in the macro.
  • Add Delay: - Insert a timing pause between actions.
  • Rename: - Assign a unique identifier to the sequence to ensure clarity when assigning actions.
  • Delete: - Remove a sequence by long-pressing the sequence name or selecting the delete icon.

Steps and Timing Logic

Each sequence is comprised of individual action steps and timing delays. The duration of each delay must be calculated in milliseconds (ms). Note: 1000 ms is equal to 1 second.

  • Timing Reference Table:
    1. 100 ms: Immediate (Fastest feedback).
    2. 200 ms - 300 ms: Standard (Recommended for most UI actions).
    3. 500 ms: Focused (Visible pause).
    4. 1000 ms: Slow (Used for long delays).
  • Simultaneous Execution (Parallel): - List multiple actions consecutively without adding a delay step to trigger them at the same time.

Sequences remain inactive until called by an action trigger.
