Total Launcher Permissions - Suggested For New Installs

The Android operating system for devices requires users to grant permissions to applications that seek to use certain services and provide corresponding benefits. It is necessary to understand that the user has the power to deny any of these categorical permissions, but must also understand that Total Launcher may therefore be unable to provide related features.

How To Grant Android Permissions

TL does not automatically request permissions. Users should follow this process to grant or not grant the permissions reviewed below:

  1. Initial installation
    1. At the opening page of TL, Edit Mode is On
    2. Using Android's standard gesture, access System settings by swiping down from the top of the device screen
      1. Scroll to Apps
      2. Select Total Launcher (it will show since it is being used by the device)
      3. Select Permissions
        1. The screen will show a listing of App Permissions: 'Allowed', 'Additional permissions', and 'Not allowed'
      4. Tap each permission listed, review its purpose, and decide whether to grant the permission. A summary of what may be shown on the Android listing is provided below for advance review:
