How To Apply A Folder Mask

To shape a folder thumbnail using a mask:

  1. Enable Edit Mode and open the folder.
    1. Tap the Edit icon (pencil) in the top menu bar.
    2. Scroll down to the Thumbnail Icon Style section.
  1. Tap on Mask.
    1. Select one of the following for a shape:
Option Description
Reset Removes any existing mask, returning the thumbnail to its default square boundaries.
Shape Choose a built-in geometric shape to define the border: <br> • Rectangle <br> • Round Rectangle: Use the gear icon to adjust the corner radius (0-306). <br> • Oval: Creates a circular mask. <br> • Arc: Creates a partial circle. The Start angle (rotation) and Sweep angle (how much of the circle is filled) can be adjusted.
Image Select a custom image from the launcher's image resources or add images to the resource (see Folder - Masks to use with a mask. The thumbnail content will only be visible where the mask image is opaque.)
